Flame Retardant, IEEE Standard 17-1974 ANSI. Temperature rating: Rated for 90 degrees Celsius (194 degrees F) continuous operating temperature. Intermittent to 130 degrees C (266 degrees F). Will not crack at -40 degrees C (-40 degrees F) .
PLY-69W is an ethylene propylene rubber based high voltage tape possessing excellent electrical, chemical, and physical properties. PLY-69W is a self-amalgamating tape that maintains a tight insulation build-up for void free electrical stability and permanent resistance to moisture penetration.
The excellent stretch of PLY-69W permits fast taping speeds and uniform build-up with normal taping techniques. PLY-69W is compatible with all extruded dielectric cable insulations.
RECOMMENDED USES:
For insulating and jacketing of splices on power cable from 600 volts through 69,000 volts and for building stress cones and jacketing of terminations on power cable from 600 volts thru 35,000 volts.
Moisture seal for all water-proofing needs and insulating and protecting bus components. Due to its high stable mechanical and chemical properties, PLY-69W is ideal for cable jacket repair and restoration.
