Duct Seal Compound - DS1

Duct Seal Compound is a gray, soft, non-toxic, putty-type compound that adheres to most clean dry surfaces. Duct Seal Compound is asbestos-free; it will not damage plastic materials, corrode metals, or have adverse effect on human skin. To form water and airtight seals around junction box flashings, Duct-Seal Weatherproof Compound can be easily formed into any shape and will securely adhere to clean surfaces. UL approved, permanently soft, nontoxic, noncorrosive to metals or plastics and asbestos free. Can be hand-shaped to any form & reused if necessary, has many applications in HVAC/R, plumbing, & metal fabrication, & a superb general purpose sealant around the home. May be painted immediately after applying & won't bleed through dry paint film. Duct Seal Putty is used primarily by the building and specifically by the electrical trade to seal around electrical boxes, flashings, and service mast entries, etc. It can be shaped by hand to any form and reused if necessary. It has countless other applications in the refrigeration, heating and cooling, plumbing, and metal fabrication fields as well as being an excellent general purpose sealant around the home. It may be painted immediately after application and will not bleed through the dry paint. Contains a pigment that serves as a UV stabilizer. The pigment absorbs the UV light and transfers it to heat, lengthening the life of the polymer bonds that make up the sealant. Anti-oxidant inhibitors are present that also help prevent UV degradation. The base polymers used are very stable against UV effects so there are inherent natural properties for this resistance as well. Duct Sealing Compound is an asbestos-free, non-toxic general sealing compound for use in indoor or outdoor applications. Common uses include sealing around electrical boxes, flashings, and mast service entries. It is permanently soft and will adhere to most clean dry surfaces.
